Walk to restaurants, shopping and nightlife, or hop in the car for an easy drive to any of San Diego's popular attractions.

Barbecue in the evenings before settling in on the comfortable couch to play backgammon or have movie night on the 65" smart TV.

In unit washer dryer to avoid checking luggage so you can spend more time at the beach.

Fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals, although you'll want to reserve some nights for the Solana Beach restaurant scene.

As always we enjoyed our stay at SBTC...the crew at Stubbs was outstanding and always eager to help with any questions.The unit itself was nice but the lack of any ceiling fans would make it unlikely we would stay in that particular unit again.

Beautiful Stay

Those used to having air conditioning may note the lack there of if the temperatures rise above 75, but they are correct that if you keep the windows open the breeze keeps the condo cool. Stubbs provided an extra fan upon request, as well as beach chairs for our stay. The property was clean on arrival and well furnished. The property grounds were lovely, the landscaping was mindful of the ocean. We also enjoyed walking to various restaurants that were only a few blocks away. If we ever have the opportunity to return to San Diego, we would definitely book here again!

Great location to be on the beach

PROS: this condo is in a gated complex that has beautiful landscaping, and is in a wonderful neighborhood. You walk out your ground-level front door and see the expanse of the ocean. A few steps away is a staircase to the beach (116 steps just fyi!) The beach has a lifeguard and even in the height of the summer wasn’t too populated. Easy to walk a long way in either direction. Great sand, no rocks like some nearby beaches have. The unit itself is recently updated. The kitchen has hodgepodge collection of pans and dishware, but plenty. Large tv and seating for 4-5. Nice lounge chairs on the front patio space. Pretty quiet complex, we saw more workers than other guests. The units likely have concrete construction as even though we could hear the people above us, it was muted and not bothersome.CONS: This condo is incredibly dark inside, unlike the photos. While it is so sunny and lovely outside, because there is only a tiny window in the bedroom, and even the large sliding door in the LR, having an overhang from patio above, no sunlight gets in. The back area of the rectangular unit gets no light. So if you’re hoping to WFH like we were, or it’s raining, it’s a depressing space to sit in. There are plenty of lights, but it would help to put some warmer bulbs in too, as they all feel like bright LED office lighting. I would only recommend this unit if you plan to be on the beach, or out and about, the whole time. Also for the ladies, the bathroom lighting is useless for putting on makeup and as the rest of the condo is so dark, you have to go outside. Also, there is no cell service inside and their wifi is great, but if you have an iphone/mac, calls & SMS/android texts won't go thru unless you step out of the condo about 15 steps. Finally, it can get warm/stuffy since there are no opposing windows to create airflow. They did provide several fans of which we used constantly to bring cooler air in (June.)

This spacious, well-equipped unit has a stunning ocean view. it’s very clean and comfortable. Be aware that you will have to climb down several flights of stairs to get to the beach...and then climb back up. It’s good exercise though!Stubbs got back to me very quickly to bring over dish towels I requested and answer some questions. This property is close to shopping and restaurants. We’d stay here again when we’re in the area.
